What is AFMAT
- AFMAT is a Non-Profit Non-Governmental Registered Organization(NGO), which serves a group of “Marginalized individuals” people who have some specific characteristics that leads at high risk of falling into disadvantaged situations like health problems and poverty in the community.
- Significant disparities exist for marginalized people in every aspect of their lives such as health care, employment, legal rights under the law, housing, and access to services.
- They are often the silent and invisible victims of discrimination, violence, social stigma, and assault.
- Sometimes they are abused by bullies and predators or exploited and mistreated by caregivers, family, neighbours, friends, acquaintances, and professionals.
- AFMAT reaches the marginalized people and engage them in the systematic work plans.
- Among its activities, AFMAT managed to build capacity of about 34 household members living in Chamwino District, on better agronomic practices and entrepreneurship skills, so as to rise income for different purposes at the household level, including health, education and welfare in general.
- To help Marginalized groups in the community participate equally in socioeconomic development.
- Enhance marginalized groups to participate equally in socioeconomic activities through capacity building and training, enhance better agronomic practices, creating income generating activities and access to health services.

About Us
- Founded in 2020, AFMAT is the dream of a Chairperson and founder who saw the plight of Marginalized groups in his community and decided to do something about it, in collaboration with friends.
- Armed with loving heart and a never ceasing determination to save Marginalised groups from poverty and starvation, AFMAT have fought tirelessly to make the dream a reality.
- AFMAT is dedicated to supporting Marginalized Groups in Tanzania Community by guiding and helping community leaders set up Development Committees to focus on the needs and entitlement of the poor and marginalized sections of the community.
