• $425 gross income per turnover. • Future plans entail six poultry houses being constructed, able to accommodate 1,200 chickens at a time.
• Both layer chickens (for eggs) and broiler chickens (for meat) will be raised.
• Broiler chickens will be raised in stages, providing a continuous availability of chickens for sale.
• Eggs will be sold on a weekly basis to businesses value chain that the organization has contracted.

• Natural Honey is harvested twice a year, and requires very little maintenance.
• AFMAT stakeholders will offer training and expertise to the staff of AFMAT, ensuring honey is properly maintained and harvested on time.
• AFMAT’s honey business will also act as a means of community development, as AFMAT also plans to train community members to harvest their own honey.

• AFMAT has had several successful growing seasons, which have confirmed the feasibility of using a garden to provide fresh food for staff as well as the sale of surplus produce in the local market to generate revenue and support to the needy with sustainability.
• This operation has proven to be successful at building relationships with community members who may potentially work for the farm, following the organization’s goals of economic and community development.
• Various crops, including Grapes, Maize, Watermelon, Cabbage, Beans and other vegetables are grown.

• A survey of the land has been completed in order to dig fishponds.
• Fish will be raised and sold in the local market place.
• Apart from income generation, the production of fish through AFMAT project, is anticipated to increase food security and bridge the nutrition gap among the under 5 years children and mothers at the household level.

• Cattle and Goats will be raised, providing milk and meat for consumption and sale.
